Bremont is a British watch brand founded in 2002 by brothers Nick and Giles English, named after Antoine Bremont, a French pilot who helped the brothers' father after his plane made an emergency landing in Bremont's field. The brand has built a strong identity around British aviation heritage, producing purpose-built pilot and military watches, and supplying watches to the British Armed Forces and various aviation programmes.
The Trip-Tick is Bremont's proprietary three-piece case construction, where the middle section of the case (the 'barrel') is made from a different material to the case top and bottom. This allows combinations like steel outer sections with a hardened DLC or bronze barrel, creating visual contrast and engineering flexibility. The barrel is also machined to create a distinctive ridged texture that improves grip and watch handling in operational conditions.
Bremont has supplied watches to the British Armed Forces, the RAF Red Arrows aerobatic team, and has collaborated with Boeing, Martin-Baker (ejector seat manufacturers), Jaguar Land Rover, and the British Antarctic Survey. Their MB series watches use genuine martin-Baker aircraft parts in the strap, and the watches are issued to pilots qualified on ejector-seat aircraft. These genuine operational relationships distinguish Bremont from brands with only nominal aviation associations.
